CopyCount

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026

CopyCount uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Search Console only to evaluate site performance and understand how people find and use the site.

Your text stays in your browser

The counter processes the text you type or paste on your device. CopyCount does not upload or save the contents of the editor to its servers or send them to Google Analytics. No account is required.

Google Analytics 4

GA4 measures visits and activity on the site. It uses first-party cookies and may collect information such as pages viewed, referral sources, interactions, browser and device details, and approximate location. Cookies can help distinguish visits and returning browsers.

Google processes this information to provide analytics reports. Google states that GA4 does not log or store IP addresses, although an IP address is used during collection to derive approximate location. We use the reports for site performance evaluation only.

See Google Analytics data safeguards and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Google Search Console

Search Console provides reports about CopyCount in Google Search, including impressions, clicks, search queries, and search position. We use these reports to evaluate search visibility and performance. Google omits some queries to protect searchers' privacy. Search Console does not receive text entered into the CopyCount editor.

Browser storage and hosting

CopyCount stores your light or dark theme preference in your browser's local storage. This preference stays on your device and can be removed by clearing the site's browser data.

Hostinger hosts this site and may process routine technical request data, such as IP addresses and server logs, to deliver and protect the service. See Hostinger's privacy policy.

Your choices

You can manage or delete cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Google also offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. The text counter works when analytics is blocked.
